Clay Hill Charitable Trust (CHCT) was formed by trust deed on 19 May 2017.
It is registered with the Charities Commission (England and Wales) under number 1173674.
It is also registered at HMRC with the appropriate HMRC Charities Reference Number.
The trust was funded with an initial endowment of £251,000, all of which was provided by one of the trustees (also the chairman of CHCT): Adam Cleal.
Adam was formerly a solicitor, having qualified in 1982. He was a partner with Allen & Overy LLP (A&O) for 24 years and was head of its London and international real estate practices for a total of 15 years. He retired from A&O in October 2015. He remains on the roll of solicitors held by the Law Society (non-practising).
The two other trustees of CHCT are Noreen Cleal (a retired solicitor) and Harriet Cleal (a practising solicitor).
